Background Grant became a
business consultant in 1985 following a successful career in the
corporate world and with his own business interests.
Over the years he has worked with many
organisations and industry types with the primary role of acting CEO or
Management Consultant whilst overseeing their restructure toward
increased performance and profitability. Grant has consulted to boards
of directors in setting policy and governance, and has selected,
recruited and trained Chief Executive Officers and other senior staff.
He also has been actively involved with the merger
and acquisition of many medium size businesses (up to $700 million) and
has been the architect of successful corporate business and marketing
plans. Grant has worked on boards of a number of law firms, companies
and other organizations including corporate, council transitional boards
and Chamber of Commerce. He has also consulted to Government Ministers
regarding various aspects of their portfolios.
When making recommendations that involve
organizational restructuring Grant on occasion fulfils the role of Chief
